A mixed-use project on Galveston’s historic Strand, in which two contiguous 19th-century commercial buildings were renovated for use as a restaurant, a bookstore, craft and antique shops, and a 5-room bed and breakfast. A new atrium was created to join the two buildings, rationalize the circulation, and bring light into the interior spaces.
This project received a design award from the Austin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
