Black + Vernooy developed a master plan for 140 acres on Barton Creek: the area located just south of Highway 71 on Barton Creek, known as Barton Creek Reserve.  As a part of the common area, we designed an 80-foot-long dam impounding a two-acre  lake.

Sinclair Black designed the dam, surveyed the land to set the water level, and supervised the three months of construction.  Environmentalists have praised the project as a groundwater recharge system and a great swimming hole.
